Submissions
The Institute accepts nominations for assessment, general correspondence, and requests concerning rights in published material.
What the Institute will not catalogue
- Politicians, candidates, office holders, parties and campaigns. Permanently.
- Any minor, as the subject of a person-based assessment.
- Private individuals who are not public entertainers or public figures.
- Anything requiring explicit sexual imagery to depict.
Nominations outside these bounds are declined without correspondence. Everything else is read, and the great majority of what is catalogued began as somebody else’s idea.

What happens to a submission
Submissions are held privately and are never published. An address, where you supply one, is used to reply to you and for nothing else. What the Institute records is set out on the privacy page, and the terms governing what you send are on the terms page.
Rights and takedown requests are recorded with a status of open, reviewing, resolved or rejected. The rights and content requests page sets out what a complete request contains.
